3 Days of Summer in Singapore: Singapore Travel Guide

PLEASE VISIT MY NEW WEBSITE. CLICK HERE TO CONTINUE READING MY SINGAPORE TRAVEL GUIDE. THANK YOU! =)

Singapore, or commonly called as the "Lion City", is situated south of Malaysia and north of Indonesia. Singapore is the only Asian country which uses English as its first language so foreigners won't be having a hard time communicating with the locals there, in fact, 36% of the population in Singapore are foreigners. Ironically, although Singapore is dubbed as the "Lion City", there is actually no Lion in the country. Singapore's history says that what the people saw before might actually be a Tiger and not Lion.

Singapore's currency is Singapore Dollars. S$ 1.00 is roughly equivalent to Php32.00 or $ .71.

nice blog! very informative and i hope you continue sharing your itineraries. may i just ask how are you able to put multiple lines of text beside a picture. i also have a blog but the picture can only have one line of text beside it (i.e., in ms word, the picture's format is in line with text vs. what you're able to do of having the format square or tight? thanks!

Hi Turista,

It has something to do with how you format the photo. When you post photo, you should click, right, left or center align. It actually depends of your blog's platform. Like what you said, in Word, it's like word wrapping. Thanks for the comment. =)

You must have had great fun in Singapore following the itinerary you stated! I went there on February 2010 and spent like 11,000 for 4 days. The technique is to stay in dormitories or backpackers' inn. They're not as comfortable and private as hotel rooms but it costs only $25-$30 per night - simple amenities included (towel, shampoo, body soap, blanket, etc.)

Then instead of shopping at Orchard Road, I went to Bugis Junction and Chinatown. Much cheaper, plus there are lots of Filipinos in there so it's kinda easy when you got lost. lol.

AS for the food, yeah, FOOD THERE IS PRICEY!!! And McDonalds' don't have rice meals! I have to go to hawker centers (cheaper place) to eat rice. lol

I've said so much when all I want to say is nice blog! haha

Hello Angel,

Thanks for dropping by and the kind words. Yes, we usually stay in backpackers area whenever we travel out of the country. We're just lucky our friend works in SG so we stayed at their condo unit. hehehe. 11k is pretty good. =)
